GLC Demi Rakyat & Negara

Aspirasi Masyarakat, Inspirasi Negara

GDRN was first established as The Government-Linked Companies (GLC) and Government-Linked Investment Companies (GLIC) Disaster Response Network (GDRN) to work with different partners. This is part of the efforts to coordinate humanitarian aid from various GLC and GLIC partners for those in need who were gravely affected by natural disasters as well as the COVID-19 pandemic.

About Us

Who We Are

The GDRN was created in 2013 through the Putrajaya Committee for GLC High Performance (“PCG”) with Khazanah Nasional Berhad as its Secretariat. The network was successfully deployed between 2013 and 2016 where various relief and reconstruction work was undertaken, particularly during big flooding incidents namely in Kelantan, Pahang, Terengganu, Pulau Pinang, Sabah, Sarawak, Melaka dan Johor.

Understanding the need for deploying more assistance to those in need, GDRN was reintroduced as GLC Demi Rakyat dan Negara (GDRN) in hopes of assisting more B40 individuals and those in need. The reintroduction allowed the network to widen its scope from focusing only on humanitarian efforts to now focusing on knowledge and the well-being of life. GDRN since then has spearheaded corporate social responsibility efforts in a consistent manner to benefit its recipients.

Our Purpose

In March 2022, with the reintroduction, GDRN is focusing its efforts via three main cores. Guided by these three cores namely Jalinan Ilmu, Jalinan Kemanusiaan, and Jalinan Sejahtera, GDRN is now focused on realising its primary goal of coordinating humanitarian aid from GLC and GLIC to communities affected by natural disasters and the COVID-19 pandemic.
